Clementine's Story...
Our sweet little girl Clementine is ready to start meeting people but please, be very patient with our shy pup. Clementine is one of many dogs that came to us from a hoarding situation where they were living in just deplorable conditions in a garage. She never went outside or had much human interaction until she came here, so she is still getting used to life as a healthy, happy, puppy. Clementine is 7 months old and this coonhound mix will need a special home with a family that will help her to get over her fears, and keep her very safe. She has come such a long way since she arrived and once she comes out of her shell with someone, she is an absolute love. She completely lets loose in our exercise yard with people she is comfortable with and will run, play, and have a great time. She bonds intently with people and will love you forever. Clementine will need a home with an experienced dog owner and one with no children under 12. She is fine with most dogs and would love a commotion-free home where she can take her time to settle in. If you can offer her the wonderful life she deserves, please come in and meet Clementine. File#26348 6/11/16

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clementine, a Forked River Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coonhound for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Coonhound dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound breeders who help with Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
