Stanley's Story...
Updated photos coming soon! Stanley came to us from the city shelter a few months ago when he was a young kitten. He gets along with the other cats and the dog in his foster home, and loves the people he lives with, but is very fearful of new people. Several potential adoptions have evaporated when Stanley jumped out of the new person's arms (scratching them in the process) and ran from the room. But, if you have the patience to let this guy settle in at his own pace, you'll be rewarded with a handsome and affectionate (eventually) cat. To learn more about Stanley, call his foster caregiver Stacie at 775 302-3784. Adoption fees: $40 one cat; $60 a pair.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stanley, a Fallon Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Fallon, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Fallon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fallon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fallon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fallon paves the way for another one to be saved.
