Foster Care: Hi there, I'm little Clay, and 8 month old neutered male Chihuahua mix. In just 3 weeks with my foster family (Including best friend DurantA810603), I’ve really blossomed. I’m a complete character! If you are looking for a small but playful and super smart (and savvy) pup, then I’m for you. So far I’ve shown I’m a great companion with other dogs, and I’d love a home with a canine buddy or two. I would love to be adopted with my sidekick Durant, but it isn’t mandatory. I love going for walks and now am happy to have my harness put on. I even dined al fresco with my foster family at a restaurant and was patient and fun and well behaved. I only occasionally bark if I get startled but calm down right away. I’m a great eater and am well on my way to being housetrained. I am not afraid of other dogs when out on walks or of loud noises. I am equally happy to be on your lap getting snuggles or napping while you watch TV. In a few days I learned to 'fetch' and “Stand up” and could probably be trained to do a lot of tricks. I LOVE belly rubs. I am very playful and silly...like your goofiest and silliest friend. Since I’m not at not at the shelter you can make arrangements to meet me or learn more about me by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 650-340-7022 ext 374.
Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010. Our hours are weekdays from 11am-7pm and weekends from 11am-6pm (closed major holidays). Interested adopters must arrive at least 1 hour before close.
We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around!
To check on an animal's adoption status, please call 650/340-7022 during normal business hours to speak with an adoption counselor or 650/340-7022 x823 anytime to hear a recording of our available animals (updated each morning). Emails will be returned as soon as possible, but please allow up to 48 hours during busy adoption periods like weekends.
