Stewart is a 13 year old black and tan mini dachshund. Stewart was rescued from the shelter on his last day. He is sure happy to be out of that place. When he got home, he walked right over to a big fluffy bed, made himself comfy and went to sleep for the night. He must have been tired from his scary ordeal. He slept on his back, paws up, for about 10 hours. He is well rested and ready for exploring. He loves to hang outside and sunbathe or follow his nose around the yard. Stewart loves his bed and does not like to be disturbed when he is snoozing. Stewart is as sweet as pie in the afternoon, will sit on your lap and give kisses, but when night falls and it is bedtime, stay away, the man needs his sleep!! Stewart is fine with cats and dogs, sorry no children. Stewart would be great for a dachshund experienced owner who has lots of beds and blankets.
Stewart's adoption fee: $100
We do not have a kennel or facility to visit, all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found.
Adoption Process: Once an approved application is on file, we will then set up a home visit. At that time we will bring the dog to the home in which you will all be sharing. We ask the entire family to be there that day. If we all agree on the placement, then the dog will stay with you that day.
