Karma is a 11-month old German Shepherd puppy; she is spayed, microchipped, and UTD on her vaccines. Several months ago she was tossed out by her previous owners and left to fend for herself. She was picked up by an animal control who labeled her food aggressive, dog aggressive, and she was marked for death. After she was rescued, we learned that she is not food aggressive, or adverse to interacting with other dogs. Karma is just inexperienced and is now on her way to learning proper dog manners. She is a super-friendly, happy young girl who is looking to bond with her human. She is a typical female Shepherd with energy and intensity, and will be an awesome dog with someone who understands the breed.
Karma is a high drive, high energy girl seeking a family who has significant experience with German Shepherds who has an active lifestyle. Her ideal family would be one with the knowledge to set clear, consistent boundaries; one that can give her experiences for socialization, leadership and structure. Previous understanding on establishing pack leadership and routine is a must. Karma is good with children, but due to her energy level, should be placed in a home with older children. She does get a long with dogs, but ABSOLUTELY no cats.
She was on her own and making her own decisions for most of her young life so she is spending time with trainers to provide her with structure and leadership. She did have guarding issues due to her lack of structure, but she no longer exhibits such behavior. Continued training is required under the adoption contract with an approved trainer.
