Friends to the Forlorn

Breed: Boxer Mix
Gender: Male
Estimated Date of Birth: December 10, 2011
Size: 60 lbs
Location: Acworth, GA

Dozier loves people, swimming, hiking and most of all BALLS. He is an active dog who would do well in a home that would take him on walks and most of all play fetch with him. He loves butt rubs and will wiggle his booty . He loves car rides and is always ready for a fun adventure! Dozier is very smart and learns things very quickly. He knows sit, down, stay, come, heel, back up, high five and give me tummy. Dozier has also dabbled in some agility training as well and loves the challenge.

Dozier is a 4.5 year old male Boxer Mix that weights 60lbs. Dozier was rescued from a Georgia animal control facility when he was a small pup by a local rescue group. He was adopted when he was pup and returned in 2013 due to him getting to big. The rescue he was with did very little to work with him and in the end could not provide him with what he needed after years of being in a cage.

Dozier is a very happy dog and can at times get over stimulated. He will need an owner that is confident and will be the leader of the pack. He would do best with a family of adults or with children 13 and older. While he has been in his foster home he has done great with our females when told to “back off” by them. My other Male dog will try to dominant Dozier and he does not like that, so submissive male friends only. When he first came to our house he was protective of his toys, but now shares with them. Dozier loves his people and he takes his watchdog role very seriously so any house-guest needs to be welcomed into the home before he is allowed to greet them. As much as he loves his people, Dozier really enjoys house-guests and will happily greet them with wiggles, however he does not appreciate unannounced visitors.
