Meet Paxton! Paxton is a sweet, gentle GSD/Collie mix who made the long trip from a high kill shelter in KY to a loving Illinois foster home. Paxton is about 8 yrs old and 70 lbs. He is a gentle, quiet boy who would very much enjoy just to hang out with you and maybe go on a hike. He is crate trained and house broken. We believe he was hit by a car in his younger years. He had a broken tail that has healed and has some arthritis. It doesn't stop him from getting around, although he isn't a jumper so he will need help into your car. Besides a nice long walk, one of his favorite things is lounging in the sunshine out on the deck. He would not be well suited for small children or overly active dogs, he prefers not a lot of commotion. He would prefer children over 8 yrs old that would be respectful and gentle with him. Paxton is fine with most other dogs and cats and loves people. He is just a big, sweet boy who cannot wait to find his forever family.
The adoption fee of $300.00 includes his neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family.
