Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mozart is a sweet boy who needs constant direction. He has great house manners and is crate trained. He is good with dominant dogs but does not do well with submissive dogs. No children under 14. Please read this entire bio before applying to adopt Mozart.
He is a Yorkshire terrier mix, weighs approximately 9lbs, and is 5 yrs old. He is up to date with all medical needs, including a dental and grooming. He will come to his new family with behavior and home training with Michelle from Bark Busters (only available in Hamilton/Niagara area).
Mozart would be considered special needs. He has some PTSD from his first few years of life. He needs to know his place in the home and needs his adopters to understand his thinking patterns. He is super protective of any being he feels is weakest or the person/dog he loves (he is very loving). He had been in a home with abusive humans who most likely fought and raised hands, because even if you're joking with one another, he feels he needs to overprotect. He is at his most stressed in the evening, which seems to be a trigger for him. He needs to sleep in his crate where he feels safest. Mozart loves his morning cuddles and is back to his sweet self after his solid, uninterrupted sleep.
Mozart will only be adopted to a very dog-savvy household. If you feel you can provide a home for him, feel free to apply at www.TexasChihuahuaRescue.com.
