Our Adoption Process...
Adoption fee is $100 for most of the animals at PAWS. The fee includes the animal being spayed/neutered, current on shots and microchipped. Dogs who are old enough are heartworm tested and current on their heartworm preventative. Cats are also tested for Feline Aids and Leukemia.
We require that anyone who lives in the household and any other dogs living in the household come meet the adoptee as part of the adoption process. The animal must be spay/neutered prior to going to its new home. If the adopter elects to have the animal spay/neutered at their own veterinarian we will allow that provided the veterinarian is located in Okaloosa County. If the new owner elects to do this, we will transport the animal to the veterinarian on the day of their surgery and the owner can pick them up from their veterinarian.

Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
