Alaska's Story...
Meet Alaska! This gorgeous girl is a doll! She is so very friendly and absolutely loves to be pet. She leans right in to cheek rubs and just soaks up your affection. She is about 4-5 years old and was four paw declawed by her previous owners.

Alaska is marked special needs due to separation anxiety. She is looking for a home with someone who is retired or a family where one person does not work and is home a lot.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alaska, a Chicago Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
