Lucy's Story...
Meet Beautiful Lucy who was born around 6-9-16, and arrived to Angels on Wheels on 8-6-16. We rescued Lucy from Chicago Animal Care and Control where she was treated for an Upper Respiratory Infection. She is doing great and has fully recovered. She is a stunning fluffy kitten who is a lot of fun. She is super snuggly and incredibly playful. She is a little fuzzy ball of energy who loves playing with her toys. She will come looking for attention, and will allow her foster family to pick her up. She will be a great companion for a family.

We feel a home with children 5+ would be best for Lucy. Lucy is great with other kitties, but she hasn't been introduced to dogs, so a home with cat friendly dogs will need to do proper introductions and give Lucy a space of her own until she is comfortable. Lucy uses the kitty box like a champ and has a healthy appetite. She's being fostered in a home in Park Ride, Illinois with another foster kitty Gremlin. Park Ridge is where you would go to meet her with an approved adoption application.

An adoption application must be submitted, processed, and approved prior to making an appointment for a meet and greet. Adoption applications can be completed by clicking on this link http://angelsonwheels.org/feline-adoption-application/ Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but is required prior to making arrangements for a meet and greet as all of our animals are cared for in homes. We can't schedule meet and greets until the application is submitted and approved.

If an animal is still posted for adoption, he/she is still available. We do not have an actual building so there are no viewing hours. All of our animals are cared for in foster homes. In order to schedule a meet and greet, and adoption application needs to be completed. Click on the link to complete the on-line adoption application. http://angelsonwheels.org/feline-adoption-application/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Naperville Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Naperville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Naperville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naperville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naperville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naperville paves the way for another one to be saved.
