Meet Emma!!! Emma is a 3 year old Yorkie/Dachshund mix, she is currently 9lbs. Emma will be available at the end of August after her puppies have been weaned and she is spayed. Emma is a great girl, looking for a calm understanding home. Emma had been bounced around to several families before she landed in the pound, pregnant and alone. Emma has been very protective with her puppies around but she is starting to come out of her shell. She warms up to women right away, but it takes her a couple minutes to come around to men. She did not do well with small children running around her, she has done well with children 13 and older. At this time she's also not doing well with other dogs or with cats, but we will do further testing as her puppies leave her care. Once she comes around you will have a friend for life. She's a goofy girl loves to play and snuggle up on the couch and watch a movie as long as it doesn't distract you from petting her. If you are interested in more information on Emma please contact us and a volunteer will be in touch with you..

Please fill out an application and review our adoption procedures on our website at Emma is currently being fostered in a private foster home in Colebrook, CT. Please note that all dogs in rescue are in private foster homes and meet and greets are by appointment only with approved applications. Emma's adoption fee is $350 and again she will not be available to go to her new home until the end of August..
