Facts about Morty

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Orange Or Red Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
**Morty is currently being fostered in HOUSTON. He is available for out-of-state adoption as well to the perfect family. His adoption fee is $200 US, which helps covers his flight to his new family, a travel kennel, and he is vetted.**

Morty was found on the streets of Houston pay a group of people that feed feral cats. He showed up one day and they were able to catch him and have him neutered. When we heard about this boy we couldn’t let him go back out on the streets. Morty is a very loving boy. He is NOT feral at all! He is FIV positive but can live a long happy life just like any other cat. He will need to go to a home with no other cats or one with other FIV positive cats. It is only contagious to other cats by biting each other. Morty is currently fostered with another FIV positive senior cat and he does well with him. He is even great with dogs!

Morty is about 3 years old, around 10 pounds and deserves a loving home of his own. He is safe in a foster home but gets very little attention because his foster home has a lot of other animals. Please consider adopting this loving boy and showing him what love is!

**Morty is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, FIV Positive & FeLV Negative, Dewormed and doing very well in his foster home. He is ready to find his family to complete his transformation. If our sweet boy sounds like a perfect match for your family, please email us at for more information. His out of state adoption fee is $200 to help cover the cost of his airline flight and travel crate.**

About Paw Huggers - Oregon

About Our Rescue Group...

Paw Huggers Animal Rescue is a non-profit, no kill, and all volunteer animal rescue based in Tomball, Texas. Our mission is to rescue abandoned and neglected dogs and cats, and provide them with a safe living environment and medical care until a permanent, loving home is found. Paw Huggers Animal Rescue relies solely on volunteers, fosters, and donations.

We at Paw Huggers are grateful for such a giving group of foster volunteers. By fostering an animal in need, you are able to show them what it is like to be in a safe environment full of love. Many of our animals have not had the chance, or have forgotten, what it is like to be part of a family.

Fostering a dog or cat is a tangible and rewarding way to make a difference in that animals life. Every foster space that we have available takes another animal off of the streets. It is difficult to learn the true personality of an animal that is caged all day in a boarding facility. By fostering these dogs and cats we are able to learn their personalities and better evaluate them for their forever home.
