Facts about Cooper

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Gray Or Blue (Mostly)
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Cooper came to our shelter as a kitten and was quickly adopted. He was returned SIX years later because his owners had a baby. Cooper's whole life was turned upside down in an instant when he ended up back at our adoption center. He is easily stressed by changes in his environment, and needs a quiet home that will give him the patience and love he deserves. Cooper is 6 years old and gets along with mellow, quiet kitties. No dogs or small kids for Cooper- they stress him too much.

Cooper is neutered, vaccinated, and feline leukemia/AIDS negative. He is current on flea/tick preventative and microchipped. To meet him, visit our adoption center at PetSmart, 55 Boston Post Road, Orange. Adoption application is also available via our website www.HalfwayHomeRescue.org. Adoption donation $125

About Halfway Home Rescue Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Halfway Home Rescue Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless animals and providing a safe haven for these animals until a permanent home can be found. While in our care, these animals are examined by a veterinarian and given proper medical attention (including spay/neuter). Animals deemed “un-adoptable” become a part of our sanctuary and live out their natural lives under the care of volunteers and trusted veterinarians at Halfway Home Rescue Inc.

Halfway Home Rescue is comprised of a very small group of volunteers dedicated to making a difference. We operate 100% on private donations. In 2015, more than 500 cats and dogs passed through our doors.

All of the animals currently residing at Halfway Home Rescue, Inc. have been examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, tested for contagious diseases, and are up to date with vaccinations PRIOR TO ADOPTION.

The animals that come to us have suffered lives of abuse, neglect, and abandonment. We do not have any knowledge of their history prior to entry into HHR. Our goal is to place each animal in a home that most suits its needs. Please email us for an adoption application. The application is also available on our website www.HalfwayHomeRescue.org. Once completed, we will set up an appointment for you to meet each of our animals looking for homes. If a match is made, you will fill out an adoption contract and receive all of the medical papers for your new pet.

All donations are tax deductible.
