Baxter was picked up as a puppy by a good Samaritan that saw him being kicked on the streets by some neighborhood kids. He had a curable skin condition that required several weeks of treatments, so Azaya Ranch Sanctuary took him in to get him healthy. He has grown into a large, 65 pound, handsome boy. He is incredibly smart, obedient, willing to please, and high bonding. He gets along well with other dogs and loves to play fetch. He has attended training classes in Petaluma and is a superstar. We had him DNA tested and he is a true mutt with a mixture of Australian Shepherd, German Shepherd, Chow, Rat Terrier, Jack Russel, Cattle Dog …and the list goes on! Baxter will excel in a home that has experience with herding type breeds and understands their exercise, training, and socialization needs.
