Facts about Adam

  • Breed: Domestic Longhair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Long
My name is Adam. Please don't judge me because my foster mom calls me Smelly Cat. I was nicknamed after an episode of, "Friends," because the lady has an evil streak and thinks she's funnier than she actually is. What started as a joke because I needed a dental cleaning quickly became a song and the nickname stuck. I promise I don't smell and absolutely love my theme song. I wouldn't mind at all if you sang it to me too and most likely will sing along with you. (It's on YouTube.)
I get along with all dogs but can be a occasionally skiddish because I have some developmental delays. However, I'm VERY friendly and VERY playful. Oftentimes, the other cats won't play with me because I'm a bit slow to learn but it's OK because my Mommy and my Q-tip are my best friends. I would be best in a home where I am an only cat and your best friend. I also love dogs very much! My foster sister Izzy (120 pound German shepherd) helps me with bathes sometimes.
My favorite activities include talking, rolling on my back, purring for no reason at all, playing, sing along to my theme song, asking for wet food and getting brushed. It's hard for me to clean my long feathery hair so I need brushing often or I can get matted but its OK because I like it now. Also because I have special needs my foster mommy said I'm going to my FURever home with my favorite cat tree, brush, bed and carrier because sometimes a change in environment is hard for me.
I often get a stuffy nose but do well with some l-lysine supplements, grain free wet food and lots of fresh air.
I'm looking for my person who wants a special relationship with my special self. There is no other kitty in the world like me, I promise.
All the FURMommy's have really helped me a lot. It would mean a lot to them if I could be placed in a special home after everything we've been through. I've come a long way a really deserve it!
Looking for FURever,

About Feline Underground Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Feline Underground Rescue was created in order to fill a need in the Inland Empire community that exists because too many unwanted or abandoned cats and kittens are being needlessly euthanized in shelters. We have started this new nonprofit animal rescue group so that we can rescue many of these cats and kittens either directly from the shelters or before they are turned in to a shelter in order to save their lives, provide them the necessary medical care and prepare them for adoption.
Our adoptable cats and kittens will go to their FURever homes having been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, tested for Feline Leukemia, and treated for fleas and worms while being lovingly cared for in a network of foster homes and adoption centers run by volunteers. Potential adopters will be carefully screened via an application process which our Board of Directors will design with certain parameters to adhere to.
Our network of foster families specializes in nursing back to health the sick or underage kitties that often do not get the opportunity to be adopted in shelter situations. Volunteers of all ages and stages of life will be welcomed and trained in the areas they can comfortably provide their services to our organization in order to serve the community.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Some of our adoptable cats are at the Cat Adoption Center inside the Temecula Petsmart, 32413 Temecula Parkway, Temecula CA 92592, and at the Murrieta Petsmart, 25290 Madison Ave, Murrieta CA 92562

Other cats and kittens are in foster homes that can arrange a visit upon approval of the application.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an application to be filled out and approved prior to selecting an adopter for the animal. Once approved, the applicant is matched to an appropriate pet for their lifestyle and an adoption agreement is completed. We do have adoption fees associated with the adoption of most of our animals to cover medical and supply costs.
