Hi, there! My name is FIONA. What’s yours? Nice to meet ya! WATCH MY VIDEO!
Hey! Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Houston, TX but I want to get OUT of Houston and OUT of Texas so I can have a really good life. I want to see Texas in my rear view mirror. Whew! It is really hot here! A nice person came along and took me in and, now, I am ready to hit the road to your house! Uh, make that “our” house, OK? As soon as you adopt me, I’ll be on my way to you!
Here’s a little bit about me. I think it’s called vital statistics. I am a German Shepherd, probably full-blooded. I am 1.5 years old and I weigh 68 pounds. I have had all of my shots and have been spayed. YIKES!
I am a really smart girl. I walk pretty well on a leash. I know the command “Sit” and I’ve learned a doggie door all in 24 hours! I know you could teach me lots of stuff I need to know. I am, basically, a laid-back girl (when I’m cuddling with you). I would love to hike and swim and run and play catch and play Frisbee or whatever games you and I may like to do together. When we are tired of playing, I will just chill with you. When people love on me, I go down and roll over on my back so you can rub my tummy. See what a nice girl I am???
Can you stand to hear more good things about me? OK, here goes! I have soulful brown eyes that will “speak to you”. I am a lovely specimen, at least that’s what my foster mom says and it must be true because she smiles at me and loves on me and tells me how pretty I am. What do YOU think? Well, pretty is as pretty does and I’m an all-round good girl and I’m just waiting for my new friend and companion. I hope it is YOU!
I have been to some socialization classes and I’ve done quite well. But, as you know, all dogs need training by their own caregivers, the peeps who love them. I could use some more practice meeting other dogs. I don’t try to be mean or anything like that. I just get excited and get a tad overbearing especially with my big-girl size. Just a l-i-t-t-l-e more training and I’ll be perfect! Probably someone who is really smart (like me) and knows how to handle big dogs interacting with other dogs is what I need and want. I want someone to be my leader.
My foster mom loves me SO much that she only wants me to fly to my new home even if a pet transport truck was available. See my adoption information below.
