Facts about Destiny

  • Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn - With White
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Sweet Destiny was taken to the shelter by her owner because he had too many dogs. Being abandoned is painful for humans and animals alike, but as much as it can hurt, sometimes it is for the better. It’s apparent that Destiny wasn’t well take care of wherever she lived before, so we are happy to be the ones who get to find this girl the home she deserves.

Destiny is beautiful inside and out, and she is so very deserving of a good life. A good life for this wonderfully sweet pup would be a loving forever home where people sincerely care about her and work towards giving her the security that she needs. We all know that love never fails, and true unconditional love is all that this sweet girl is longing for.

She is incredibly affectionate. She loves to cuddle, and you’ll never find her short of kisses to give out. She enjoys her playtime with both her two-legged human and four-legged doggy friends, but she isn’t the biggest fan of cats. She just doesn’t know what to think about the furry, purry creatures, so she’d most likely do better in a home without them.

Destiny loves physical activities like hiking, and she would make an amazing running partner. However, she also enjoys calmer moments, such as laying by your feet on the patio while you enjoy a cup of coffee. She is a well-balanced soul and has a solid mix of the yin and yang.

Through no fault of her own, Destiny never learned that with all of the fun that comes along with life, there are rules to follow as well. Ongoing training is a must with her, but she is smart and eager to please, meaning that with a little bit of patience and commitment, she’ll have no problem catching on. She loves learning, and she truly thrives on being the best dog she can be.

Destiny weighs currently44 pounds, her DOB 6-26-14 is and her adoption fee is $225.
Please note: We do not adopt out of State. Thank you for understanding!

Destiny is a gentle, charming spirit, and if you have a place for her in your family, you will never regret bringing this bundle of joy and love into your life. To find out more information on our adoption process, please call us at 720-278-1880 or email us at adopt@rescuedforlife.org!

About Rescued for Life Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Life wasn't kind to most of the dogs entering our Shelter system, leaving them with emotional and physical scaring.
To many are immediately adopted out , before being rehabilitated just to find themselves a few weeks, month or years later in the system again facing the inevitable "death".
Rescued for Life is diligently working to change that through our mission to give the dog the time and extra care needed to detect and treat underlining issues resulting in a variety behavioral problems.
Rehabilitation and training are the key elements leading to a long and happy life for the dog, and a lasting, joyful relationship with its owner.

RFL rescue focused on individualized medical and behavioral rehabilitation for homeless dogs that would otherwise be euthanized. Once an animal enters our program, we make a commitment to care for that individual for life.

STEP ONE: Think it through. Do you have the time, energy and resources to devote to a new pet? Are you committed to caring for the pet for the next 10-15 years? Do you know what kind of pet would be best for your household?

STEP TWO: Browse our website and choose a potential candidate. If you see a dog you like ~ please fill out the adoption application and indicate what dog are you interested in.
After we received your application we will contact you to arrange and combine a home visit with a meet and greet.

STEP THREE: Adoption Contract. Once approved, you will need to finalize your adoption by completing an adoption contract and paying the adoption fee in cash, check or with

STEP FOUR: Rescued for Life, Inc. is committed to the animals it rescues for their entire lifetime. Therefore, once an animal is adopted, RFL reserves the right to:

Check on the pet at any time to ensure its well-being.
Remove the pet from the home if any conditions of the adoption contract have been violated or, if in the opinion of RFL, the environment is unsafe.
If at any time you cannot keep your pet, you must return it to RFL and not to any other individual or shelter.

We cannot guarantee the health of any animals adopted. Any time you adopt an animal, you should take it to the vet as soon as possible. Your animal has been checked by a vet, but will need to be started immediately on a program of
preventative vet care.

Please be aware that the animals available for adoption are rescue animals and, as such, have often been exposed to a variety of diseases. Like human illnesses, these disorders can have an incubation period of up to several weeks. If the
animal you adopt shows signs of illness in the first weeks after it has been adopted, please inform us and take it to the vet for treatment. Once an animal is adopted, the adopter is responsible for all medical expenses.
