My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sansa Wants to Learn What True Love Is All About
Female, 2-3 year-old, medium-sized, German Shepherd, black and tan Good with other dogs: Good with children: Yes Cats: Unknown Talk about a Cinderella story! Sweet Sansa was found as a stray with her puppies and taken into
Maricopa County Animal Care & Control. Her owner claimed her puppies but left poor Sansa there! But that hasn’t stopped Sansa from making tremendous progress. She’s already gained some weight and is starting to look very healthy!
Her foster dad reports that Sansa is a fantastic running partner. She is superfast and really does well on the leash. She runs twice a day and loves every minute of it. She’s also learned to play a good game of tug now. And she just spent some time with some older children and a house full of people for a vacation and fantastic. Sansa is still a little shy with some people, but she’s really coming around with the love of her foster family.

Sansa is getting along well with her foster fur siblings, but really wants love and affection from her humans since she’s been missing that her whole life. She follows her foster dad around so she won’t get left behind again. If you’re looking for a sweet girl that just wants to be loved, Sansa is your girl!

As always, if you are interested in a Saving Paws dog, you must fill out our online application to get the approval process started. We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application! All staff members are volunteers and aren’t compensated for their time and expenses. Many juggle family and full-time careers while volunteering at Saving Paws. Please be patient as sometimes it takes up to 5 days to process an application.
