I love my sister!!'s Story...
Name Lucy: She was found on the street with Bashful (other little girl) who is also for adoption. They are fostered together and if you could adopt them that would be fantastic. We only want the best for Lucy and Bashful. She is tiny and has those huge ears!! She was brought to a Kill Shelter and could not stay there. She was so scare with her playmate Bashful. She is young, sweet and funny looking!! Loves other dogs and loves to go under the cover! If you would like to meet both these girls please fill out the application online at under the form tab.Our Rescue do offer to adopters pet insurance with Embrace. The first two months only cost $1.00 then you can decide if you wish to keep going. Great way to have your little one protected!!
Please check out her little Sister called Bashful
Note from her foster Mom:
Lucy knows her name the best. Lucy is also a sweet lover girl! She is happiest when she is curled up in your lap, or next to you, or in a doggy bed with Bashful. Lucy is the calmer of the 2. I believe she is also the older of the 2. If all the dogs bark, she will join in if the ruckus doesn't stop, but she doesn't bark, she kind of "sings" rather than barks. She is more of a Apple Head Chihuahua, where Bashful is more of a Deer Head Chihuahua.( I told you I was raised with Chihuahuas and Hunting dogs) She has those big Chihuahua ears, which makes her look so cute and a little funny. Just call her name and up pops that cute little head and those big ears! She is doing much better at going outside to potty. In the morning she prefers not to get her feet or other parts wet from the damp grass, and will do her business close to the grass, but still on a hard dry surface like the sidewalk. Later in the day, when the grass doesn't have the morning dew on it, she is fine and will venture out into the back yard. Her yeast infection is getting better every day! Today is bath day for her, she won't be real happy, but does well at staying still while I bathe her.

Both of the girls are just hungry for love, caring, and understanding. They are great to stay close to you and not venture too far away from the safety of their human. They don't want to get "lost" again and have to go to scary places!! They are still coming out of their shells. They are more couch potatoes than hyper run around the house dogs. They walk well on a leash. They haven't shown a big interest in toys yet, but that may come in time. These 2 girls are just so happy and grateful to be out of the outside elements and out of that scary shelter place with big barking dogs! All these 2 girls want is a warm loving home to call their own, their Fur-ever home! Are you the one for these 2 Cutie Pies?! Fill out an application if you are interested in 2 mellow, laid-back, loving little snuggle-bunny Chihuahua girls!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

I love my sister!!, a Ft Myers Beach Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Ft Myers Beach, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Ft Myers Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ft Myers Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ft Myers Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ft Myers Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
