Peanut's Story...
The kittens are a joy to watch as they learn about life and explore their surroundings. They all play the leader at times and have their own distinctive personalities as they try different strategies to pounce on their siblings and play with their toys. Sometimes acting as a group, they solve little situations such as a toy in the water bowl. They love the turbo scratcher ball toy, and tiny kitten-size catnip mousies. At home, they are all great with their eating and box manners. The kittens are very active and must be adopted in pairs or to homes with another young and active pet. They were rescued with their mom, Mittens, as strays in West Virginia.

Peanut is a beautiful petite Calico. She is very talkative, and affectionate. She loves to be in the middle of all that’s going on, sometimes carrying a lattice ball with her. She loves her circle toy from the mayonnaise jar. She is fond of playing actively with her siblings, and curling closely with them for a nap.

Patty has a plain white chin, but is not ordinary in any way! She is a delicate, affectionate kitty who has absolutely beautiful eyes. Her intellect often leads her to explore areas which are new. She has learned how to climb to places to see out the windows. Breezes blowing branches, and the birdies on the feeders outside are fascinating to her. Her sweet smile seems enigmatic at times.

Roger - ADOPTED!

They were born on June 8th, 2016. They've tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia, have been micro chipped, and are current on shots for their age.

  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
