Optimus-A Gorgeous, Male-Neutered, Red & Black, 2 year old, West German Showline GSD. Up to Date on Vaccines, de-wormed and is on Flea and Heartworm Prevention.
He is going through a Rehabilitation and Training Program to make him the best pup he can be. When he came to us, he was VERY food and toy Possessive and Aggressive. He would bite people and or other animals that approached him, when he had food or a toy. He is doing much much better with this issue now. His adopter will be trained on how to keep this issue from resurfacing, before he is adopted!
With a STRONG handler, He walks well on leash, Knows sit, down & stay and does well in the car.
He has been socialized heavily with people and other animals(cats and small dogs included and he does very well!). He needs to go to someone who is VERY experienced with Strong & Dominant German Shepherds. He will push his boundaries on having to respect space and commands, so he needs a very firm leader, NO exceptions. If you aren't comfortable with discipline, this is not your guy. Once he knows your the boss, he turns into the most funny and adorable puppy you could ever want! He is a slow mentally maturing guy, so he is very much like a GIANT puppy. lol
We would like a home with no small children, as he is too much of a big puppy himself!
He needs an active person or couple, who will put in the time to exercise him at least 5 days a week.
He absolutely loves to play, roll around in the grass and chew the sticks he finds in the yard. If he receives the leadership he needs, he's a big, goofy, fun guy to be with!
