This is Max (HWTH#16276A). He is a Bichon Frise mix, DOB: 12/4/04. Max weighs approximately 20 pounds (he is overweight) and stands 10 inches at the shoulders. This precious boy was neglected by his elderly owner and abandoned. He had insect bites and flea bites when turned over to Halfway to Home. Max has been cleaned up, groomed, flea dipped and is now ready to be released for adoption. This is a loving boy with a sweet disposition. Max is a little timid when you walk towards him because he is afraid of being stepped on but with time, that behavior should melt away. Max likes to be held and will want to be with you as much as possible. He may also want to be your bed buddy and lap dog if you so choose. Max is overweight and for "good quality of life" reasons it should be addressed by his next Forever owner. Max is good with other dogs and is beginning crate trained. For more information on Max, please contact Suzanne at tele # 661-824-4495.

About Halfway to Home

About Our Rescue Group...

Halfway To Home was formed in 2001 due to the need in the Antelope Valley to rescue the many homeless, helpless pets. We have animals from individuals who have to give up pets, and from animal shelters that have darling individuals who need to be spared euthanasia. There are puppies coming from individuals who did not spay and neuter in a timely manner. Your tax deductible donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 512 Rosamond, CA 93560 or you can visit us on our web site at and make a donation through PayPal.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Come and see us every Saturday & Sunday, rain or shine from 1 to 5 PM at the Westside Palmdale Petsmart, located on 10th Street West, next to Trader Joe's, just south of Rancho Vista Blvd (Avenue P).

We are in need of volunteers to help out at our pet adoptions at PetSmart in west Palmdale on Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm to 5pm. If interested, please visit us during our adoption hours at the west Palmdale PetSmart or call Suzanne at 661-824-4495.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption procedure includes an application to make sure the dog and the people will be a good match, an adoption fee to cover the cost for shots, spaying or neutering, and a home check. Halfway to Home dogs are adopted out to be part of the family, and many of them are housetrained, if not, we ask that you are willing to undertake that task. Our dogs are intended to be indoor/outdoor family members. Doggie doors are a plus.
