Hello, my name is Thor. I was born on October 29 2014. My family surrendered me to Chicago Animal Control because they had to move in with a relative who was allergic to me.

I got very sick at Chicago Animal Control. It was so stressful. I missed my family, and I didn't understand exactly what was happening to me.

Fur Angels rescued me 4 hours before I was scheduled to be euthanized. My foster mom took me to her home and nursed me back to health.

Even though I was well, I was still very scared. My foster mom says that I will have to be introduced to my new forever home very slowly. Perhaps room by room.

But now that I'm acclimated with my foster mom and her 2 cats, I am really enjoying myself. I play with my fur brother. My fur sister doesn't want to play so I avoid her. No problem. My foster mom says I can get along with any cat. I'll figure it out as long as we are introduced slowly.

My first family had children (2 and 7). When my foster mom takes me to adoption events, I enjoy being petted and held by kids. I also like looking at the other small animals. I don't seem to mind dogs, but my foster mom isn't sure how I will do with a dog in the house. It might be best if my forever home only has small pets.

I love playing with balls. I bat them all over the house. I love the sun and looking out the windows. My foster mom says I'm not a lap cat. She hugs me and kisses me in the morning and then I spend the rest of the day playing. But I also like to shadow my foster mom. I like to know where she is, and I cry out when I lose track of her.

I am neutered and up to date in my vaccination. I'm also microchipped. My adoption fee is $100. I am waiting for my furever home where I can live with my furever family. Could that be you? If you want to adopt me please go to and fill out our online cat adoption application.

About Fur Angels Animal Sanctuary

About Our Rescue Group...

I got involved with rescue work out of love for animals. I had decided to set up my own rescue. I serve mostly deaf animals because they are first to be put down and are usually deemed untrainable, unadoptable and unlovable. I didn't feel this was right or fair.

Our Adoption Process...

We are a small rescue who cares for all our pets in
foster homes. We do NOT have a facility & all animals
are seen by appointment only, after an application has
been approved.
Dogs' adoption fee includes vetting, spaying/neutering, and any health care they may need. For some dogs, the fee may be reduced for reasons that can be made available. Cats' adoption fee include vetting, spaying/neutering, and any health care. All are heartworm negative. We require all possible adopters to fill out an adoption application, and to submit themselves to home visits by staff or volunteers, or by local rescues. Vet reference will be required and will be used. Upon adopting, an adoption contract will be signed. Call me or email to start this process.
