~~Hi, I am Portia or Portia de dogge, as my friends call me. I am a smooth coated Border Collie, maybe not
fully but my looks and personality are all in that breed description. I am loyal and loving to people and looking for love with a herding dog savvy family. My main goal in life is to spend every minute possible with them doing my job. I love riding in a car, going places and keeping busy.  If there are others in the pact, I work best with a dominant dog, love all sizes of people and do well with cats too. I will be someone’s awesome indoor dog to keep your feet warm on a cold night.
Check my stats; fully vetted, on heartworm prevention, microchipped, spayed, house trained, crate trained and basic skills all in place. My two year birthday was March 2016 and I weigh 40 pounds. I would love to meet you and am looking for my forever home, check me out on ChewysHope.com.

About Chewy's Hope

About Our Rescue Group...

Chewy’s Hope Rescue is a Non-Profit Organization, with 501(c)(3) status, that is concentrated on saving the lives of adoptable Texas shelter dogs, specifically Wise County Shelter dogs.

Our goal is to save death row dogs of all sizes and all breeds by placing them into loving, forever homes in the state of Texas and to work with other Rescue Organizations nationwide to accomplish our goals. We are an all-volunteer, foster home based, nonprofit dog rescue organization based in Boyd, TX. We do not have a physical shelter. Instead, we operate primarily through our foster homes, online databases and at adoption events/expos.

We also serve our community and adopters by educating and encouraging responsible pet ownership with an emphasis on the need for spaying and neutering.

Chewy’s Hope Rescue is not taking public found strays or owner surrenders at this time. We do offer assistance with networking resources. At this time we feel that our services and skills will be best applied if we prioritize the rescue of dogs on death row.
