Life isn't always fair and no one knows this better than many of our rescue dogs such as this handsome young man, Bentley. Sadly, the first year or so of his life wasn't great at all: he was dumped in the middle of the countryside by his owners, the people who are supposed to love him, TWICE. The first time they dumped him, he managed to find his way home (being a hound and all), so the second time they disposed off him, they made sure it was far far away from home. Luckily for Bentley, he got to join the DFW Rescue Me family. He's around 1 1/2 years old. He's a red tick coonhound and weighs about 60 pounds. Despite his less than positive past experience with humans, Bentley just wants to be by your side. All day long. He loves going on walks and LOVES the car. Whether it's chilling on the patio or napping, Bentley is game as long and he can do it with you. He is good with other dogs but sadly no cats. Good with kids they just have to understand because of his size he might knock them over. House trained and crate trained.
The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
