My name is Bella Rose. I am a 75 lb Akita mix and the vet says I am about four-years-old. I am heartworm negative and up to date on all of my shots. My foster mom says I am the perfect snuggle bug beause I love to hang out on the couch or in the bed and take a nice long nap with my people. I lived in a car for awhile when my old owner couldn’t find a place for me, but that doesn’t keep me from loving car rides.  I am great with other dogs, but I like cats a lot more than they seem to like me. One of my favorite things to do is play with my foster sister and I make sure to be extra gentle with her becaue she’s just a puppy. I should probably be in a fenced in yard and I love to run around outside for a few minutes before dinner time. I have a special talent for catching treats out of the air. My record is five in a row. I like kids a lot and don’t even mind when they pull my ears, but I should probably only hang out with kids who are my size or bigger. I am crate trained and I am also a perfect lady when my foster mom leaves me loose in the house. I could use some leash training, but I do know how to sit and lay down when I am told. If you want a big, snuggly goofball to hang out with I am definitely the dog for you.

Thank you for considering adopting a new family member. Most of our adoptable dogs live inside foster homes.  Fostering teaches house manners, helps to potty/crate train and accustoms the dogs become familiar with the sights, sounds of living in a home environment.

About Dogs 2nd Chance - Munford

About Our Rescue Group...

Dogs 2nd Chance is a 501[c]3 non-profit dog foster group that was founded in the fall of 2007. We are a group of VOLUNTEERS that saw the need to help medium and large mixed breed dogs find permanent loving homes. We have evolved to help any size dogs. We are NOT a shelter. We receive no government funding and depend on our minimal adoption fees, donations and our own bank accounts.

All of our dogs are fostered in our homes and become a temporary active member of our family. Fostering helps to socialize the dogs, helping them adjust to life in a family setting. The majority of our dogs were abandoned, dumped or found running stray. We attempt to reunite lost dogs with their owners by placing ads in local newspapers and online classified ads. Additionally, we rescue dogs from high kill shelters as space allows. We are caring for the castaways by saving one dog at a time.

Our Adoption Process...

Online Adoption Questionnaire located at

The adoption process includes filling out this questionnaire and signing an Adoption Agreement when the adoption is finalized. We check vet references, check with landlords and do home visits. All dog adopted must be family members not "just a dog".
