dob: March 26, 2013...rescued as an unwanted litter of Husky/HoundX. Cache and Payton's other siblings looked more Husky and were adopted but, apparently, these 2 beautiful spirits didn't look Husky enough, so were left behind. VERY SWEET, a little shy around new people, but they respond well to kind, gentle hands and a calm demeanor.

Payton is a quiet and a bit aloof young man. He is a shy at first, yet is very sweet when he knows he can trust your heart and that knows he is safe in your care. Payton is quite dependent on his brother.
Cache who is more confident and sure of himself..
BOTH are extremely gentle and kind-hearted, loving and fun to have beside you, day and night.
Very contented to run free inside secured area: not an escape-artist but we will not approve an electric fenced-in yard...must be stockade of 5' chain-link.

Walk well on-leash, love to explore so would be a great hiking/walking buddies on the beach or wooded trails on-leash, OR only after both pups and their adopter have completed obedience classes together, can be trusted to listen to they person's commands..

With loving bond and a little obedience training, these brothers will make an excellent companion for a home with at least 1ac fenced-in yard, or very rural acreage.

adoption fee: $145/each...Payton and Cache are bonded brothers and must be adopted together. They are  neutered, micro-chipped, current with yrly Bordatella, 3yr Rabies and Parvo-Distemper vax, monthly heart worm, internal parasite and flea/tick prevention and comes with all medical paperwork from day#1 with H4S CARes and a current health certificate(issued within 3 days of transport).

Upon receipt of your application, we will send you an email stating that we are processing your app, and immediately send out a short questionnaire to your personal references and contact your veterinarian's office.
We will be back in contact with you as soon as we have received responses from your personal references and have spoken with your property owner and vet's office.
Upon approval, to hold the dog of your choice, H4S requires the entire adoption fee sent to our PayPal.com acct(h4s_cares@yahoo.com)
Upon receipt of the adoption fee, we will respond by sending you H4S's adoption contract and all pertinent information you will need to be ready for your pup's
arrival and make the reservation for your pup's transport to a meeting place close to you, the following Saturday.

Our goal in rescuing and re-homing animals is to provide them with a loving home for the rest of their life.
The adoption fee covers their medical costs associated with the animal, medical and daily care during their foster period.
All animals adopted by our group MUST BE spayed/neutered prior to finalizing the placement. Most of H4S's adoptables are in foster care in Rutherford Co, NC
Your signature below states that you understand any future medical costs are your responsibility and we have made full disclosure regarding our and our vet's knowledge of the health of the animal.
Sometimes, for reasons beyond anyone's control, the adoption does not work out.
In this case, the animal must be returned to Howlin4Spirit CARes at the adopter's expense.

About Howlin4Spirit CARes - South Burlington VT

About Our Rescue Group...

Howlin4Spirit Companion Animal Rescue is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization. It is with tribute to our region that we proudly say that we have rescued over 8,000 lives since the inception in Jan/2004.
We are a network of foster homes in NC, PA, NJ and NY.
We rescue all our pups(young and old) from high-kill Animal Control facilities in SC, NC and from unwanted, neglect & abusive situations in rural areas of our region.

All our rescued dogs are completely vetted at: Rutherford Vet Hospital, Rutherdforton, NC (tele#828-286-9335/Michelle Toms-Greene, DVM).

When the dogs are completely vetted (ALL dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, & heartworm neg...if they test positive, they are treated. H4S CARes absorbs the expense) and can easily pass the strict requirements for a health certificate to travel out of state, we place them up on this site and other pet adoption venues. All adoption applications are processed through our home office in Rutherfordton, NC but most foster parents are personally involved & must approve each adopter as they know their foster dog best.

Why? FOR THE ADOPTABLE HOMELESS DOGS who have the ability to go forth and share unconditional love and companionship, & who would otherwise needlessly be put to death for no fault of their own.

Also, we ALWAYS spay the mama dogs, if an owner releases any puppies/litters to H4S CARes. This is never negotiable!

We do everything we can to help stop the pet overpopulation problem. Thank you, for considering adopting a rescued companion animal.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We adopt directly to adopters, who find our rescued foster pups via the internet, We arrange all transport to and from all adoptive homes.
