Gavin's Story...
Gavin #16-394. Arrived 8/6/16 at 2 years old.
Gavin is one hunk of a guy. His coat is beautiful and he looks to us like a cross between a Rottweiler and a German Shepherd. A home experienced with these breeds would be a great bonus, seeing as he will have training needs. He will also need an owner who has an understanding for the dedication that dogs of these breeds have for their owners. Gavin has been social at the shelter and has shown us that he knows sit and shake paw. Gavin has been with us in the past a couple of times (his name was Champ), but this time his owner didn't come for him. We don't know details about how secure his residence was, but it does tell us that his adopter needs to be diligent about watching that he is not determined to get out or an escape artist. Gavin is a guy that can't wait to be in a home where he will have a best friend at his side to enjoy all life has to offer with him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gavin, a West Babylon Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in West Babylon, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in West Babylon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Babylon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Babylon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Babylon paves the way for another one to be saved.
