Onyx (Andie)'s Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Onyx (Andie)'s Story...
Andie (AKA Onyx) is a 5-6 year old female black lab currently looking for her forever home! She was found wandering in Crocker, covered in ticks, fleas and burrs. She has since received flea/tick treatment, has been dewormed, given her vaccines, spayed and microchipped. She is Heartworm Negative and is on prevention

She is very lovable, enjoying close contact and a limb to lick. Onyx is relaxed in the house, being cautious not to cause a ruckus. When she does get excited, her tail goes crazy and she chatters her teeth (it's extremely adorable!). She loves to plop down on the couch or on the floor and just wants to be loved. She is housebroken and is very consistent with communicating when she's ready to be let out.

She does alright with other dogs, though it may take a day to warm her up. She doesn't show much interest in socializing or playing with them; Mostly, she likes to observe. While she's settling in, she is likely to show signs of fear or timidity(mostly in reaction to other dogs), but these signs fade as you gain her trust. She has done well with little children (see picture!) She has been sleeping in a crate at night, but can be trusted completely to be left out (in the house) alone.

Her adoption fee is $120 to cover the cost of her surgery and vet care. Please contact Loving Paws Adoption Center in Crocker for more information!! Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Onyx (Andie), a Crocker Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Crocker, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Crocker.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Crocker already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Crocker breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Crocker paves the way for another one to be saved.
