Meet Goldie! Don’t be intimidated by her look, this is one sweet lady!! Our beautiful Goldie girl quickly felt at home with us after a rough few weeks of running away after being scared by fireworks and then ending up at the shelter. We were lucky to get her out thanks to Second Chance and into our home. She is so kind and gentle around my 2 year old son. She is happy to hang out and chill inside, but up for a little walk or run if you are. She loves riding in cars! She sits and shakes for treats and I am sure she would like to learn more tricks. She has such a kind spirit and is just happy to be part of loving family, if you are looking for a great dog look no further!! She is housebroken, likes to spend some time outside, but definitely wants to live as an inside dog. Make sure you have a secure back yard for her. She can do well with other dogs, ideally around her same age with proper introduction. She is currently in a foster home with cats and chickens and is living harmoniously.
Goldie will be available for adoption locally only and will require a home with a secure yard. Goldie is spayed, microchpped and current on her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $250.
All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals are most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog.
We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience. To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information.
All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and up to date on shots. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog.
Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our fosters as they know the dogs the best, and please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog. We continue accepting applications on a dog until the dog is with the new adoptive family in their home.
