Once we have reviewed your application we will contact you to arrange a meet and greet and home check. 2nd Chance Dog Rescue will only adopt to families living in the Queen Creek, Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, San Tan Valley, and Phoenix area - as long as it is within 50 miles of our rescue (Queen Creek).
Buddy is an approximately year and a half old lab mix. He came to the county shelter from a location near the one of the Native American reservations and was at first very shy and fearful. County shelter volunteers worked with him, and found that he definitely was housetrained and had obviously lived in a home sometime in his life. He became a shelter favorite, and volunteers worked on getting him over some of his fear and shyness. He is continuing that progress in his amazing foster home! He loves going for walks. He loves cheeseburgers. He is the sweetest boy who is just learning that a family and home are good things. He is dog friendly with proper introductions and appears to be good with cats. He takes a little time to warm up to people and trust them and he is slowly learning that a gentle touch from a person isn’t that bad. Buddy needs a home with someone who loves to go for walks and is patient and able to give him the time to build the bond. He would be a loyal and faithful boy for life.
