Pongo's Story...
Pongo is a fun young dog who is looking for a high activity home. His previous owner had him confined to a chain and realized that was not a good lifestyle for him so she brought him to us. She said when they would let him off his chain, he would run around like a maniac but never ran away. He is good with kids and other dogs. He's fine with cats that are just lying around but I believe he would chase them if given the opportunity. He is a beautiful pup who will do well in an inside/outside home with a large fenced yard or someone to take him for brisk walks/runs each day. Available for adoption or rescue transfer. Adoption fee of $90 includes appropriate vaccinations, preventive meds, neuter and microchip

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pongo, a Union Springs Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Union Springs, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Union Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
