William Howard Taft's owner had 19 gerbils (perhaps she had more but 19 is how many she brought to YWAC on July 26.) She felt that this was too many and so she surrendered them for adoption. They're cute little guys and although they're named after dead Presidents they don't insist upon being addressed as Mr. President. Willie is about one year old.
