BERNIE (R)'s Story...
Say hello to the super sweet, quiet and well behaved, Bernie. He got lost on 07/27 and even though he has a micro-chip his owners did not bother to come pick him up when they were contacted. He does seem to be house trained and he knows to sit when told. Bernie has a tumor that needs to be checked out by your vet when adopted. Bernie is 8 years old and weighs 38 pounds(could stand to lose a few). Don't let the age hold you back as he can have many years of love left to give. You will find him waiting in run 85 and his ID# is 587685.
When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BERNIE (R), a Marietta Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
