Facts about Lexie

  • Breed: Calico
  • Color: Calico Or Dilute Calico
  • Age: Kitten
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 10226KH
  • Hair: Short
Lexie’s mother had no milk when she was born so she was moved along with Mercedes to another nursing mom, where she and Mercedes became really good friends. They think they are sisters, but they are not.

Lexie is a beautiful, vibrant colored calico with white feet, orange tabby legs with a black coat and mask on. She is petite and sweet and quieter than most calicos - so far. She and Mercedes hang out together, playing and sleeping. So if you are looking for a bonded pair, they certainly are. Lexie and Mercedes both are very loving, want to be close to you. Neither are actual “lap kitties”, but they want to be beside you or close to you and will occasionally curl up on your blanket. They both will play until they are exhausted and then curl up in their favorite cat tree circle and nap.

Lexie is litterbox trained, spayed, negative for FIV and FeLV, current on her vaccinations and looking for someone to love her forever. She is up at Petsmart Collegeville some weekends. If you would like to see her, let us know and we can arrange it.

About Stray Cat Blues

About Our Rescue Group...

Officially, Stray Cat Blues, Inc. is a no-kill, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization providing rescue and placement to stray, abandoned, and feral cats. Personally, SCB is a small group of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to find loving, life-long homes for cats. We are professional in our practices, but we are emotional on the subject of homeless cats, and the ways in which we humans can work to prevent this epidemic of strays.

Stray Cat Blues actively works to find permanent homes for the stray cats in our program. Our kittens and cats are exposed to the pet-loving public at our different adoption locations (see Come Meet our Pets section below) to facilitate adoptions and to provide visibility for our organization. Our cats can also be seen online at

Most of our cats offered for adoption are strays and their offspring that are rescued off the streets.

For those stray cats that are more wary of humans, especially feral cats, we can help humanely trap, sterilize and either return them if the area they live in is safe and they are being fed, or we house them and adopt them out as barn cats.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an application with vet references or a home visit. All the animals are screened for feline leukemia and FIV, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Healthy, adoptable cats and kittens are then housed through our network of foster homes. Our adoption fee is only $95. (Fee can be paid by cash or check at our Petsmart North Wales/Montgomeryville location. At our Collegeville location, the fee can be paid by cash, check, or credit card.)

If you are interested in adopting a cat, you can find our online adoption application at our website - On the side of the page there is a section labeled Quick Adoption Links. Click on the link for application to adopt a House Cat. Click on this link, fill out this short form, and be sure to click Submit at the bottom. One of our Adoption Reps will then contact you within a couple of days to guide you through the adoption process.

Alternately you can complete a paper application at Petsmart when we have SCB volunteers present (see times for adoption showings). Questions - email us at: We are happy to answer general questions, and also put you in touch with the foster families for questions about specific cats.
