Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hey there! I’m Heidi. Some people think that black cats are unlucky, but I say that’s just an urban legend. I consider myself a very lucky girl. I was rescued from an engine compartment when I was only about a week old. I was bottle fed until I was big enough to eat on my own. Now that I’ve grown big and strong, I’m searching for one of those forever homes everyone keeps telling me about.
I try to be modest, but it’s hard to be when you’re as great as I am. I’m of course beautiful, just look at my shiny coat. I love other cats and dogs and even tiny humans, so I would be perfect in any home. I am very affectionate, and I love to cuddle, so save a spot for me at bedtime! I’m also very loyal; I even come when I’m called. I’m very curious and love adventure! I’ve explored all the nooks and crannies of my foster home, and I’m ready to start exploring in my forever home! I’m also super playful. I love all kinds of toys: mice, balls, jingle toys, wand toys – they’re all so much fun!
In my perfect forever home there would be plenty of toys to play with, soft beds to snuggle up in when play time is over (preferably yours), and most importantly, special humans who will love me forever!
The best way to ensure you have a good chance of adopting me is to fill out an online application at www.henricohumane.org/adopt/application-for-cats/. We take applications on a first come, first served basis, so applying quickly is always recommended!
Our adoption events are every Saturday, excluding holidays, at the Petco next to Trader Joe's in Short Pump from 11:00 to 3:00 (11331 West Broad Street, Glen Allen, VA). To find out if I will be attending this week's adoption event, please email cats@henricohumane.org.
If you're not sure which cat you're interested in, or are just beginning to search for a companion, our adoption coordinators can help! Just fill out a short questionnaire at www.henricohumane.org/adopt/cat-adoption-questionnaire/ that will help us match you with our wonderful cats or visit us at our adoption stand.
