Junior's Story...
2/25/17 update: Junior is another longterm resident who has stolen our hearts. This goofy pit mix is shy at first, but loves to be pet. Junior would do best as the only 4 legged family member. Junior loves to play fetch and has a favorite toy that he carries with him everywhere! We are asking that Junior be placed into a home with no small children. This goofy boy has a heart of gold and just needs someone to give him the love that he deserves!

Junior is about 3 years old. This big, bouncy boy loves to be with his people. Junior came to us as a stray and seems to do well with other dogs, although a meet and greet is highly recommended. Junior needs a little bit of work on his basic manners, so an owner who has experience with large dogs would be best. Come check this stunner out, today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Junior, a Martinsville American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Martinsville, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Martinsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Martinsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Martinsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Martinsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
