Wallace's Story...
Give your heart to this lover boy!

Wallace aka Lover Boy is a cat full of love and affection that he wants to share with you!

As soon as you enter his cat community room Wallace is front and center for pets. If he is on the window Kitty Cot, he will roll over and expose his belly for a belly rub, purring all the while.

Wallace is an easy going boy with a gentle disposition. He is attentive and intelligent and loves interacting with people.

Wallace and Gromit were brought to the Coronado Animal Care Facility together and have obviously spent their lives together. It would be ideal if Wallace and Gromit were adopted together, but we will consider adopting Wallace without Gromit. Since he has spent his entire life with another cat, he would prefer to live in a home with a feline companion.

Are you looking for a feline lover boy to fill out your life? Come meet our Lover Boy to see if he is the one for you!

You can meet Wallace at the Coronado Animal Care Facility. The facility is open daily between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm (except major holidays) and is located at 1395 First Street at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.

If you are interested in adopting Wallace, you must first complete a Cat Adoption Application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Cat Adoption Counselor. Cat adoption applications are available at the facility orCat Adoption Applications may be completed online.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wallace, a Coronado Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Coronado, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Coronado.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coronado already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coronado breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coronado paves the way for another one to be saved.
