Doc & Sam's Story...

We at Hernando Animal Shelter look for loving homes for the animals in our charge. We know our animals by name and treat them with loving care. Animals deserve to have a family of their own. A shelter environment is never a good long term solution.

Sweetest guys you will ever meet!

Doc and Sam are bonded 13 year old brothers looking for a forever home. They are front paw declawed and VERY VERY affectionate. The do not meet a stranger, love to be pet, purr loudly, are very talkative and love each other. They are litter box trained, get along with other animals, recently had blood work done at the vet, the results were great! This senior pair would be very grateful to spend their remaining years in a loving home. They must be adopted together.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Doc & Sam, a Hernando Siamese cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siamese for sale in Hernando, or seeking a Siamese cat from a breeder in Hernando.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hernando already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hernando breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siamese breeders who help with Siamese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hernando paves the way for another one to be saved.
