DOB: approx. 13th of May, 2016

We're Checkers and Domino, two adorable brothers working to overcome our shyness. Our pregnant momma was dropped off literally in the middle of the Sonoran Desert. Luckily, SOS peeps came to the rescue and trapped us to give us a safe life indoors.

I'm Checkers (you can tell me apart because my brother has a black spot on my nose) and I'm a young male kitten looking for a forever home. My foster mom would tell you that I'm a real character, that I want to be cuddled, and carried around the house. I also give head butts and like tummy rubs.

My brother Domino aka Dot aka Button is a little shy and like observing the on-goings from the top of the cat tree before engaging in play and cuddles. You can tell me apart from my brother by the black spot on my nose. I'm a young male kitten looking for a forever home. I'm a little shy and like observing the on-goings from the top of the cat tree before engaging in play and cuddles. We are inseparable and my brother Domino is the best buddy I have.

We both love to play with our toy (balls and strings) and like to chase each other up and down the cat tree. Also, we're very loving, have loud purr motors but a still bit on the skittish side since we have not been around humans for that long.

During the next weeks it is planned that our foster parents work with us on trusting humans and coming out of our shells to transform us into the best kitties we can be. Checkers likes to be in our foster mom's lap while I like to snuggle up right next to her. We eat wet and dry food, use our litter boxes and cat trees like champs; We're also good with our foster brother (an older male cat) in our foster home.

If you would like to meet us in purr-son, please contact us either by phone (520) 445-3889 or by email You could also fill out an adoption application, and you will be contacted about meet-and-greet possibilities.

Don't make us wait too long, we'll be all grown way too soon. Meow. ~ Checkers

About SOS Cat Rescue AZ

About Our Rescue Group...

SOS Cat Rescue AZ is a solely volunteer-run and foster-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Tucson, Arizona.

S.O.S. stands for saving orphan kittens and senior cats in danger of euthanasia from the local shelter and gives these cats a second chance for a "happily ever after" life. The kitties are solely placed in foster homes where they will be taken care of according to their individual needs such as bottle feeding for orphans, socialization for kittens while growing up, medical attention to the sick, and hospice care for seniors.

Since all our cats are in foster homes, we get to know them, their behavior, and their needs very well so we can help you find the cat that is a match for you.

S.O.S. is founded by experienced Tucson based rescuers who wanted to focus on special-need-cats and their well-being. Our team consists of excellent foster families, specialized bottle-feeders with years of experience, as well as strong individuals with a loving heart for senior cats, their special needs, and the knowledge that most of our seniors are with us because of their deteriorating health. This means we give senior cats a loving hospice forever home where they can  pass over in a home situation, loved and cared for.

Our goals are to rescue urgent kittens and senior cats in need, provide them with the care they need, and find them wonderful homes and a place to live out their remaining days. We are also working hard at screening the potential families and asking the right questions to ensure every single one of our rescued kitties finds their happily ever after home.
