Dotty's Story...
Dotty’s rescue story began in an alley where she was found by a couple of kids. They took her home, but their mom wouldn't let them keep her and told them to get rid of her. Although this was the perfect set-up to create a couple of young cat dumpers, the kids cared enough to try and find her a home. They started knocking on doors trying to find a safe place for her to go and wound up on the door step of one of our foster moms. Despite our foster program busting at the seams, she felt she just had to help these kids do the right thing for this little kitten. She took Dotty from them, while thanking them and telling them how awesome it was of them to look for a home for this kitten and promised them that she and OFF would complete their mission to find Dotty a good home.
Dotty is a little cuddly sweetheart with an odd meow – not a full meow. She loves nap time on her human on the couch and will cuddle with your hair. She is a white beauty with 3 pale grey dots on her forehead. She is spayed, and just had her 2nd vaccine so she is ready for the final stage of the completing the mission the kids who found her started: moving into a forever home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dotty, a Evans Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Evans, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Evans.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evans already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evans breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evans paves the way for another one to be saved.
