Indy's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Indy's Story...
Indy is a tiny miniature/Dachshund mix – who currently weighs 3 pounds. She was born around May 1st of this year, and she will weigh between 6 and 10 pounds when she is fully grown.

Indy is up to date on shots and has been microchipped. Her house training is in progress.

She really needs an at-home adopter. Indy would be fine with older, gentle kids. She is the ultimate lap dog and would be content to be carried everywhere. She loves everyone and is good with other dogs of all sizes, but prefers mellow dog friends as opposed to energetic pups who want to play hard all day long.

To meet Indy, email her foster mom, Dana:

Indy is being fostered in the Carlsbad area of San Diego County.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Indy, a Vista Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Vista, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
