About Heartland Cat Rescue & Adoption Society, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

This area of Central Florida has a large over-population of stray cats and dogs. We are trying to rescue as many off the streets as we can. Our rescues go immediately to the vet to be tested, vaccinated, spayed or neutered if old enough. They are then placed in foster homes to be cared for until they can be adopted.

Come Meet Our Pets...

If you see an animal that you are interested in on this site, please call Susan at (863) 382-7138 or (863) 414-6500 to set up an appointment. We always have cats and kittens on site at the local PetCo store in Sebring, FL., and have monthly adoption events there. We are working on getting our website back up and running and we will have information on upcoming events in this area. You can check us out on Facebook as well.

Our Adoption Process...

When adopting a pet, you are required to sign a contract with us. This gives us the right to make home visits to make sure the pet is being adequately cared for. If, for any reason, the adoption does not work out, the animal is to be returned to us and not to a third party. The adoption fee varies according to breed. Usually from $45 to $100. De-clawed kitties and special-needs animals are usually a little more expensive.
