Bear's Story...
Bear is a Golden Retriever / Husky mix who is 9 yrs old and already neutered. He ended up in the shelter when his owners moved into senior living and couldn't take him. Bear is a real sweetheart, but does get nervous in new situations. He absolutely cannot be in a home with cats but Bear is fine with other dogs and children. Given his age, he need to be in a less active home with no small children. Bear is house trained and crate trained. He is current on all vaccinations and has been heartworm tested and is negative. If you would like more information about Bear, please contact Jacque at hahsfostermom@earthlink.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear, a Overland Park Golden Retriever/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Husky for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Husky dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Husky breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
