Mary Lu is a beautiful short haired pale torti.  Torti sands for "tortoise shell", because some people say that the colors remind them of a tortoise shell.  Her previous owner is a disabled Army veteran.  Remember the old fires in Iraq several years ago?  He was in the Army in Iraq, an received so much lung damage from the smoke that he is now on oxygen 24/7.  He's broken to give up his cats, but his doctor recommended it.  MaryLu is sweet and attentive.  Her eyes follow you through the house.  Mary Lu is comfortable with other cats, and her easy going personality would probably adjust to kids and dogs - she is very easy going.  She likes to have her neck scratched.  MaryLu would be a perfect companion for an older couple. MayLu needs to be an indoor-only cat.  She has been fixed and has had all of her shots

About Fayette County Humane Society

About Our Rescue Group...

The Fayette County Humane Society (FCHS), staffed entirely by volunteers, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported entirely by individual and corporate donations. Because we do not have a shelter, all of the animals we rescue live in temporary foster homes until they are adopted. We believe that all companion pets have intrinsic value and should be treated with the reverence and care they deserve.
