Meet Millie! She is a Shepherd mix that was born in Houston and is approximately 10 months old. Her owner adopted her when she was 8 weeks old, and he had big plans for her to go places with him, grow old with him and be his companion. Unfortunately, he has been in and out of the hospital since March 2016, and he is now unable to give her the energy, discipline and love that she deserves. Being a good owner that only wants the best for Millie’s future, he asked for help to find her a new home.

Millie is currently being fostered by her human sister and brother-in-law in Waxahachie, Texas while the right furever home presents itself. She is a curious puppy that is full of energy and loves to be on the move. She gets along well with other dogs, cats and adults that she meets along the way. She has not been around small children; therefore, her behavior with kids is unknown.

She is crate-trained and comes with crate. She is also doing really great with her housetraining skills and loves to go outside to potty. You just have to keep an eye on her and give her frequent opportunities for outside potty breaks when she is not in her crate.

A home with fencing taller than 4 ft. tall would be preferred. The good news is that even though she can jump out of her dog run, she does not run off . . . she just wants to chase her chicken cousins (which is frowned upon with her foster family).

Millie is a loyal, sweet, energetic girl that needs an owner that will spend the time with her that she deserves. Please consider her for your furever home or help share her story!
