CHUCKIE's Story...

Chuckie is a beautiful two year old purebred Shih Tzu boy that came to us with his brothers Charlie, Joey and Petey. These handsome boys were rescued from a hoarding situation.

Chuckie is a very sweet boy who needs someone to teach him that the world is a kind place. Chuckie, like his brothers, is shy and somewhat timid but not at all aggressive. He has very little exposure to the world but we have been working with him on that and his little personality comes out more and more each day. Chuckie would do best in a home with older kids not little ones. Chuckie will need some gentle guidance with house training.

Chuckie has a small benign cyst on the top of his head that does not bother him. Chuckie has a beautiful black and white coat and being a long coated breed, he will require regular professional grooming.

Chuckie's adoption fee of $375.00 includes his neuter, vaccinations, socialization and leash training, rabies, microchip and professional groom.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CHUCKIE, a Phoenix Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
