My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Simone! She's a 12 year old dachshund who was rescued by DREAM from a rural shelter in the nick of time. She's 10 lbs. of cuteness who loves to snuggle and lay in the sun.

Simone is a healthy girl and she has quite a unique characteristic. She doesn't have any teeth!
You wouldn't know it though, because boy does she love to eat! She does a little dance and is quite vocal when her foster mom prepares her meals.

She is house trained and does great with other dogs. She doesn't mind riding in a car and enjoys walking with her person.

She may be an older girl but her love for you will be new each day.

If you are interested in adopting Simone, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml . Simone 's adoption fee is $275.00. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Simone will go to her new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
