Here's what the humans have to say about me:
When the new owners of a family home, brought in construction workers to start renovation on their new home-- little did they know that something very precious was left behind on the property. Believe it or not this sight of demolition and rubble with the house being torn apart piece by piece, is where Lotus, a frighteningly underweight Dalmatian , and her companion Meadow would wait and wait for their owners to come back. Sadly, the owners had moved abandoning the pair. There is no love greater than the love of a dog for its human and for Lotus and Meadow who never even leave through the hole in the fence, they would wait night after night with their heads lying on their front step hoping their owners were coming back for them. The construction workers were kind enough to leave food and water for the dogs, but the dogs were overwhelmed with stress that in turn was affecting their well being, not to mention they were being tortured with fly bites, fleas and ticks chewing at their skin.
Meadow would have not be alive today due to open pyometra if we had not rescued her that weekend.
Meadow is 4 years old and has received full veterinary care. She is waiting anxiously for a loving forever home.
The last two photos are when she was abandoned.
